Patrice Lehocky of Columbus Ohio. I live and work in Columbus, Ohio, and make things on the side. Currently: I am making handbags and headbands out of reclaimed/recycled/reused fabrics. I'm also working with bike inner tubes to create wrist cuffs, watches, headbands, and jewelry. The main focus of my works is to incorporate as many used/discarded/recycled materials as possible resulting in a clean, polished, well put-together final product. In my spare time I am (very slowly) working on three quilts that incorporate traditional quilting patterns with stories of current times and lives. I currently do not have the time to do custom orders, but am always looking for people to collaborate with. In the past: I've shown photographs and stencil grafitti in galleries, consigned purses with appliqued images on them, necklaces made out of broken plates in Columbus, Pittsburgh, DC and on various webbased consignment shops. Future: The main goals for my future works are to create a product easily created and very useful out of easily available disposed goods. Finishing the quilts is always on the list, but in the imediate future I hope to have a solid design of hip bags and camera bags for cycling.
